Performance dress

It is now very common to see visual projections at music concerts, with visuals that react to, represent and compliment the music. This dress  is an alternative visual representation of the music as it responds to changes in sound by changing colour.

The short clip presented here was recorded at Miriam Ingram’s gig in Whelan’s, Camden Street, Dublin on 30th August, 2004. This dress was designed especially for Miriam Ingram to mark the special occasion of her finishing the album ‘Trampoline’. The skirt of the dress has a number of layers that change visual attributes, as the music changes.
